Animal selection with AutoSelect: Automatic sorting for herd management

Each individual cow and herd has its own requirements. As such, a professional and well-developed system for animal selection is the key to the success on your farm. For effective, reliable and easy sorting, we recommend using the AutoSelect system in combination with the FeedSelect selection gate.

The “SA” in AutoSelect 3000SA stands for “stand alone”; unlike the AutoSelect 3000 it does not connect back to the Dairy Plan or DairyNet herd management software. However, the standalone version can be integrated into the system at a later date.

Sorting branches for selection: Even greater advantages

GEA’s innovative sorting branches help you to sort your herd automatically. The main advantage of this is that this type of selection will save you time and increase efficiency when it comes to managing your cows and herd. Connecting the system to the DairyPlan or DairyNet also minimizes organization. Each of the systems enables you to select your animals quickly and reliably according to the treatment requirement. Every cow passes through the sorting area in the milking parlor. The data connection enables the farmer to enter data from the office or directly from the milking parlor terminal. The AutoSelect 3000SA animal selection system is particularly easy to use: Simply attach a colored Velcro band containing a data transmitter to the cow’s foot and as soon as the cow enters the sorting area, it will be identified and allocated to the relevant sorting area. Odd and even responder numbers determine which sorting branch is used. The responder is then removed after being treated.

State-of-the-art technology and efficient animal selection: further advantages of the AutoSelect 5000

The various levels of animal selection help you to find the perfect solution, customized to your own herd. By using upstream identification ahead of the sorting area, AutoSelect 5000 enables more efficient selection of groups and individual animals.

Farsighted sorting – especially suited to group selection

As you are able to use up to five different selection channels, you will always be in control, even with larger herds. Furthermore, the AutoSelect 5000 enables you to allocate up to two sorting branches one after another. The animal selection process is not only precise, it is also fast: AutoSelect identifies the next cow while the first animal is still in the branch.
